Shade is an average sized wolf, with a few exceptions. Shade's paws are larger than usual, and his eyes are slightly lighter green than a normal wolf's. Other than that, you could barely tell the difference between him and a full-blood.
He's built thick. Thick fur and a thick body. His soft fur is a dark grey, and his paws have black pads. Under his belly, near his chest, is a very small white tuft of fur. Shade's tail is bushier than most, but it's average in length. His nose is solid black, and his tongue has black splotches on it. Shade's ears stand at approximately 4.5in tall. Personality: Shade is loving, kind, and gentle. He loves to make friends with everyone. He is very protective of his immediate family. He loves them dearly and would die for them in the most terrible way if he had to. Although, he is very kind, Shade does have anger issues and will snap easily if you push him to far. When he's like this, he won't hold back. His wolf side comes out, causing him to get bitter and aggressive. Shade speaks with a deep voice (similar to Balto's in the first movie).
He's often found wandering outside of the pack's claimed territory, or daydreaming amidst the meadow's wildflowers.

History: Shade was born with the name Sam to a full blooded wolf father, and a Siberian Husky mother, along with a sister named Tara. He never met his dad, as he left after impregnating his mother. He promised her he'd return, but he either left for good, or never had a chance to come back--dead. Shade's sister, Tara, resembled a husky in almost all ways possible. She had a curled tail, underbelly markings, and even a blue eye. The only thing noticeable were her paws. They were much larger than the average husky's. He loved his sister more than anything. She was adopted at three months and put on the town's retrieval team. The other dogs on the team cursed him for something he couldn't change, but he would still visit her nightly. Shade was adopted two months later, by a group of fur-hunters. More specifically, wolf fur. He was forced to kill his own kind. He had to, because if he refused, he'd end up being on the next fur trade. Shade stayed alive for Tara, she needed him and he needed her. At the age of six months, Tara got sent on her first real sled run. She had to travel across Canada to retrieve valuable cargo. That night, a vicious blizzard hit. The sled was never found. No survivors either.

Shade's mother always hated him for looking so...different. She was never proud of him. She hated his father for leaving her alone with two pups. She struggled hard to feed them all when her first human abandoned her. She would always blame his father for everything. He never blamed his father. He tried. At one year old, Shade had nothing to live for at home. He was returning from a hunt...three wolves died. He decided He'd had enough. Domestic life wasn't where he belonged. He needed to be liberated, to run where he was wanted. Shade broke free that evening. He ran all night, and didn't stop.

Sexuality: Shade is still confused about this. He wouldn't call himself bisexual, but he likes both genders for different things. He leans more to males, however.
Weaknesses: Shade is usually a strong wolf, but refuses to kill. With exception of threatening humans and food sources.
Strengths: Shade has a large heart and a clever mind. He is witty and cunning.
