Crystalline exhaled in relief. "Thank you." She murmured, smiling at the smaller wolf. It's been so long since she had someone near her that she could talk to, and care about. Shaking her head, Crystalline scolded herself for getting off track and gave Valeria a once over. Valeria looked fast, but with her light frame, it was easier to get slowed down by the howling wind. Crystalline, on the other hand, is small she is for her species, but she is still bigger and therefore, can help Valeria fight the worst of the wind. "We'd better move if we want to make a den before sundown." Crystalline suggested, 'I'll shield you from the wind, we'll go faster that way."

Valeria flicked and ear and nodded. Her grey and black fur fluffed up against the cold, she looked around them.
"Where should we go? Deeper into the trees would mean more shelter. And, maybe, less snow on the ground."

Crystalline nodded "Into the woods we go then." She replied, shaking herself free of any snow in her fur.
"Plus, if I were a pack, I'd live in the deep woods. I bet there's going to be one there, there has to be." Crystal said in a stern tone, almost as to convince herself.

Valeria nodded, shook the snow from her fur, and shoved her way through the cold, frozen, white drifts. She could feel her paw-fur clumping with snow and freezing, making her aching paws hurt more. She thought about finally having someone with her again. It'd been a pretty long time since she actually traveled with someone, almost a year now. She'd made a few friends in a few other packs, but they all stayed in their packs when she left.

As Crystalline pushed through the snow, keeping close to Valeria. She thought about what was awaiting her in a pack, then she turned to Valeria "Promise we'll stay together when we get to a pack?" Crystalline paused, solemn "Just...just to make sure....nevermind, it's stupid." Crystalline shook her head, thinking. Everyone she had known had left, and she wanted to keep the one friend she had made in a long, long time. She frowned, looking sad, a moment later, she pushed ahead with renewed vigor. It doesn't matter, when she gets to a pack, she'll have real friends......

Valeria stopped, shivering, and looked at Crystalline with a frown. She was too stubborn to let that go untalked about. Plus she wanted to keep this she-wolf as a friend. She tipped her head when she saw the sad look on Crystallines face.
"No, go ahead. Whats wrong? It's not good to keep things bottled up. Plus, if we're gonna be staying around each other a lot, we might as well get used to each other. I want a friend, not just someone to talk to and work with." She walked in Crstallines path, where there was less snow and it was easier to walk.

Crystalline nodded, a distant look on her face "I don't want to continue being lonely and having friends leave me." She looked behind her at Valeria and laughed. "But I guess you'll never do that eh? Friends to the end?" She offered, hoping for the best. Bounding ahead, she tried to clear the snow away as well as she can for the smaller of the two. She slowed down, however, as the wind blew harder and harder. Crystal positioned herself as to shield Valeria from it but still able to continue hastily.

Valeria smiled slightly; Though it was her first real one in months. Her tail wagged a little too, black and grey ears perked towards her. She'd been alone so long, looking for a pack and a friend.
"Crystalline, I don't want to lose anymore friends either. I've been lonely a pretty long time now... And it needs to end. For both of us. To the end." Valeria giggled and bounded after her new friend, staying to where a path was cleared. She started to slow when her companion did, but Valeria slipped on the packed down snow and slid head-first into Crystalline's flank, laughing hysterically.

Crystalline fell to the floor laughing, rolling around till she took hold of Valeria. With a giant push of her legs, Crystalline tried to unbalance the smaller wolf. Scrambling to her feet, she shook herself off, chilled to the bone. Then she thought back to what Valeria had said, shaking her head to rid all her unhappy thoughts, she got back to trying to dig out a den. "I feel like we need a place to rest, the wind's blowing too strong for us to continue." Crystalline advised, not wanting to travel through a snowstorm.

Valeria was flung back into the snow, legs flailing like crazy, the small she-wolf disappearing completely from sight in a snow drift. She was silent for a long moment before she suddenly burst from the snow pile, scattering snow everywhere like a sparkly white rain, cascading over them both. She ran full force and tried tackling Crystalline, squealing happily, even though she was probably half the warriors weight. Valeria hadn't really played very much if at all in her lifetime, her siblings never even had the chance to get old enough or strong enough to play like normal puppies should....

Crystalline yowled as Valeria popped up through the snowdrift, terrified, she tried to run. However, with her absolute panic, she stumbled and tripped over her own paws, right that second, Valeria charged into Crystalline, knocking her completely over, causing them to be engulfed by snow. Crystalline tried to hold on to Valeria, but she was lost in the snow. Popping out, Crystalline tried to run back onto the path, heart racing in excitement. Crystalline had never played before, at least, not for fun, all she did was train, train, train all day long.

Valeria howled in pure joy, something she hadn't done in over a year. She bounded after Crystalline, orange eyes glittering in excitement. She'd played with Ruso, and other small animals, but she'd never actually played with another wolf. Someone her size, her strength, and like her! She didn't have to be gentle, like with the younger or smaller animals of the woods. She could tackle and be rough, not something she could do with Ruso. With Crystalline, she knew she could really PLAY for the first real time ever, and man was she loving it. Heart pounding, tongue hanging out of her wide-open mouth, she barreled after the other wolf with her tail streaming behind her.

Crystalline heard the other's howl and replied with one of her own. She had never played, her mind always on things more 'important'. Hearing Valeria's footsteps, Crystalline turned around and ran striaght at her, turning left at the last second. For the first time, Crystalline felt...free! Panting, Crystalline tried to jump over Valeria, however, half way though it, Crystalline was overcome with a fit of giggles. Collapsing onto Valeria, she tried to roll off, only to be tangled in a web of legs.

Valeria tried to stop, surprised at suddenly having a wolf in her face. The next thing she knew, she couldn't tell what legs were hers and which were her friends. She snarled playfully and nibbled at Crystalline's tail. Her playful snarl turned into giggles and soon she couldn't act tough at all, just laughed till she couldnt breathe. She flailed her legs around like crazy, not to get out but just because why not? She was having the best time of her life, actually playing.
