Crystalline twitched as Valeria nibbled her tail. Crystalline brightened as she got an idea, smacking her tail into Valeria's face, she tried to make the other sneeze. However, this act made the ball of wolf wobble. Repressing a light scream, Crystalline tried to find out which leg was hers by staring at the mess of limbs, but to no avail, both she and Valeria were flailing around. Hearing Valeria's giggles, Crystalline began to laugh uncontrollably as well, barely able to stop to breathe. crystalline felt happy like she was a pup again, carefree and happy.

Valeria finally managed to find her own limbs and untangle them, and to stop laughing so hard, rolling over and taking off back towards where they were originally going. She only got a few yards before skidding to a halt in the snow and crouched down, her ears on a swivel. She took advantage of her light weight & webbed paws, keeping her on top of the ice at her creeping, balanced weight. She had her mouth open slightly, scenting the air. She was glad most of her pelt was grey, and only her paws and some markings were black. It was easier to hide than Ruso's red pelt had been.

Crystalline rolled gratefully out of the tangled mess that was their bodies. Freezing as Valeria crouched, she was on high alert. Crystalline crept over to where Valeria is, sensing a hunt. For things like this, Valeria was better at teasing the prey, herding it towards where they want it to go, she was fleet-footed and fast. Crystalline paused, pining her ears back, she had heard something coming from behind. Shrugging it off, Crystalline tried to focus on what Valeria was doing. Crystalline was glad her plet is a light shade of silver, it was great for hiding in snow.

Valeria pulls herself forward, silently. She was glad her pelt was at least grey, not completely black like her markings. Spotting her prey, a lone, thin doe, Valeria started to circle around. She paused and looked to Crystalline, nodding and hoping she knew to stay where she was. She kept circling around, planning to drive the deer towards the warrior and make an easy kill to save energy. When she was almost across from the deer, she strained to see Crystalline without letting the doe see her. {Is she ready?} Valeria thought to herself and sighed gently, deciding to drive the deer that way anyway. If they lost it.... They lost it. Oh well. She dug in with her paws, shooting forwards right at the deer. She got close before the deer turned towards Crystalline and bounding that way. Valeria kept on its heels, looking for a chance to take it down on her own.

Crystalline nodded as Valeria set off, it'd be easier to hunt with a strong, stocky wolf to kill, and a fast, light wolf to....do basically everything else. As Valeria bounded towards the doe, herding it towards Crystalline. Tensing, Crystalline waited for the perfect moment to pounce. A mere moment later, Crystalline saw her opportunity and sprung. Digging her teeth into the doe's throat, wobbling a bit from it's frantic bucking. Tearing a large piece out of the doe's throat, Crystalline dropped to the ground, exhausted, but happy, at both her new friend, and the feast they have upon them.

Valeria, seeing Crystalline go for the deer, slowed and stopped as Cyrstalline did what she did best, leaving the task to someone who could do it easily. She wagged her tail and bounded forward, ears perked.
"I cant believe we got lucky enough to find a deer! And great teamwork!" She wiggled around like a happy puppy, prancing circles around the dead doe and her new friend. Adrenaline was surging through her body more now even than when they were playing.

Ears perked at the silence that which surrounded the she-wolf, she had been on a hunt to collect food for the pack. Their food supply hadn't ran up quite yet, but it was her duty to the pack to make sure such a thing didn't occur. She couldn't bare to see her pack members suffer from the cruelty of winter, she had hoped that they would survive the season without loosing anyone. And so far she had been lucky in accomplishing her goal, but winter wasn't over yet and lady luck can be a bitch.
So here she was getting food and following well known trails that the deer and other small animals used. But come across something she had not, the forest was quiet quite than usual not even a bird could be heard moving from tree branch to tree branch. This was odd indeed and she didn't like it, how was she supposed bring home food when there wasn't even a scent to follow? Growling at the idea of turning around and going back to the pack she shook her head and continued on, there had to be some sort of prey out here and she would find it. As Rhiannon walked her nose picked up the sharp scent of other wolves, no other wolf was on the hunt with her and patrol was over for the moment.
So who were these two trespassers and what were they doing on pack lands? Didn't they know that hunting where they shouldn't be is extremely disrespectful to the pack or did the pair just not care? The white wolf would soon find out and even though she wasn't a warrior she would extinguish the threat before it actually became a threat. Nodding her head to agree with her inner thoughts she followed the trail the other two wolves had taken pausing when the smell of copper and deer touched her nose. Not only were they in pack lands they were also hunting, this angered Rhiannon as she slowly approached them," Who are you and what are you doing on pack lands? Explain yourselves!" She growled out baring her teeth at the two her head lowered to protect her neck and her ears pinned back in case they wanted to fight her.

Valeria whipped around, her grey and black fur rising, but not from aggression. Her eyes were wide and surprised, and she tipped her head and focused on the strange wolf. She wondered for a moment, vaguely, if she should just keep her sassy jaws shut and let the warrior handle this. However, her pride pushed at her and she lashed her tail. "I'm Valeria. I've been traveling a while now, I'm sure you can tell." The little hunter sat next to the dead doe, chest puffing out proudly and perking her ears, maybe more than a bit defiant towards this stranger that was yelling at her and her friend. "Who are YOU and why are you yelling at us for surviving? Theres no need for aggression, speaking as civil beings is a good reaction too." She wouldnt fight if she didnt have to, but if this she-wolf went for her or her friend.... She wouldnt hesitate to retaliate.

As soon as the unknown wolf approached, Crystalline moved closer to her new friend and ally, seeing the strange wolf's stance, it was clear she wanted to attack, sooner or later. After Valeria finished her little spiel, Crystalline started to add something on herself "We didn't know this land was inhabited by anyone else, we were on a quest to find a pack, so we decided to head towards this direction." Crystalline paused, getting her stance battle-ready "As you can see, we are rather competent, with our entire doe and what not." She snarked, still kinda miffed about the stranger's hostility.

Amber eyes watched them, they weren't aggressive but still she was miffed that they were eaten a doe that rightfully belonged to her pack. Raising her head and tail a bit in an air of authority she nodded to the doe,"You have every right to survive that much is true. But wouldn't common sense and respect tell you two to announce your presence where the scent markers are strongest? A hunter or even a patrol would have granted you permission to hunt. My name is Rhiannon, I am a hunter of Frostwind which is the pack who's land you are now on."
The she-wolf stepped forward a bit and looked the pair up and down, it was true that they looked underfed to fully survive the winter. But still that gave them no right to just steal from her pack, if they would have asked permission to hunt they would have been granted hunting rights. Deciding that the pair was of no threat to her she sat down on her haunches waiting for them to say something else.

Valeria stayed beside the doe, but let her pride deflate, settling down. She wouldn't be aggressive if this newcomer wasn't. "I'm sorry we hunted on your land, but I don't remember any scent markers. Though I'm sure I was just daydreaming." She shrugged her grey shoulders, looking around at her surroundings. Honestly, she couldn't even tell what way she'd come from, if this wolf sent her away. She could always follow her trail out.... Or just go right on through. {No! This time, this time I've found it.} She thought furiously to herself. She wanted to have a positive attitude.

Ears twitched as Valeria spoke waiting until the other wolf and finished before she lifted her head to take in the scents the smell of blood along with the two wanderers was heavy but the pack's markers has grown weak. That would need to be addressed with the patrol and the pack's Alpha, having faded scent markers wasn't good it meant that everyone was lacking in their jobs and that will not be tolerated. Lowering her head she rolled her shoulders," It seems that indeed the scent markers are weak, I will take care of that matter when I return to the pack. Now back to you to, have you come to join Frostwind and do you have what it takes to be a member of the pack?" Rhiannon asked the two after she stood up shaking the snow from her fur, depending on their answers she would lead them to the pack. Normally this wasn't her job but seeing as not another wolf was around it might as well be.

Valeria perked her ears, tail wagging slightly. "Really? I know I have what it takes." The gray and black wolf looked at Crystalline. She wouldnt just leave her friend alone if she didnt want to go, she'd made a promise. "Whatcha think Crystalline? Is this it?" Her grey and black fur was fluffed out from excitement as she looked at her with shining eyes like liquid amber. She hoped they would go to this pack and finally settled down, they both deserved it.
